KCP HISTORY

       Reverend Kwon, Kyoung Hwan, South Korean  Christian Missionary, came to the Philippines in 1991. His dedication from GOD and steadfast faith to the Lord Jesus Christ made his missionary journey in the Philippines and continuously share the Gospel for over 20 years until today. God's love was his strength (Psalms 18:1) and through God's mercy Reverend Kwon founded the Northern Luzon Presbyterian Church (NLPC) and established over a hundred Christian churches in Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga Apayao, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Cagayan. Reverend Kwon's love to these churches made him respond more to the spiritual and educational needs of students and families in the Cordilleras and Cagayan Valley Region. Upholding the mandate of the country through the Commision on Higher Education (CHED) and the Technical Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and considering the financial constraints the hinder poor students in the Region, he founded Eastern Luzon Colleges, Inc.

        The acquisition of three hectares mountain land along the highway of Magsaysay Hill, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya culminated in a ground breaking ceremony on the 14th of July in 2003 which led to the preparation and construction of the school building with the good Reverend, other South Korean missionaries, and supporting benefactors from Presbytarian  Christian Churchews in South Korea who pledged financial support. on Augusst 2003 Eastern Luzon Colleges Inc. in Bambang, Nueva vizcaya was registered at the securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and in that year, month of October, Eastern Luzon Colleges- Benguet Campus was also registered as ELC Bambang's sister school. years later, Eastern Luzon Colleges-Benguet was named King's College of the Philippines.

        

        Dr. Carlos M. Alacdis (who passed away in November of 2011) was appointed as first school president of the two campuses. together with his staff, they processed the necessary documents reqwuired buy the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)  and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the school's initial operation. Hence, on May 2004, Development Authority favorably approved the offering of Degree and Technical courses of the institution.

        For the Degree couses  the school offered; Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA), Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC Major in Financial Management), Bachelor og Science in Criminology(BS Criminology), and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA). For technical courses,Two year Computer Secretarial, One year Small Engine Mevhanic, One Year Industrial Electrician, Six Months Buildinf Wiring Electrian, Statistically, 104 students have enrolled on the Degree Course while 182 students enrolled in Technical courses.

         The school began its' formal operation on the first semester of June 2004 and on October of the same year the school held its first graduation for the Six(6) Months Automotive Mechanic course with the totaal number of 23 graduates. on March 2005, Graduation was held for one(1) year Industrial Electrician, Six (6) months Automotive mechanic , and Six (6) months Building  Wiring Electrician graduates. For the Degree courses , the first batch was in 2008.

        After years of blessed school operations, there were new courses offered which increases the number of enrollees on both of the degree and Technical courses. The college added to the following courses: Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED), Bachelor of Elemnetary Education (BEED), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Two Year Computer Technician (Comp. Tech.). At the present, the College offering ten (10) Degree Courses, four (4) Technical Course and Laboratory High School namely Grade 7 up to Grade 12.

       With extension, the College has five Building namely; the Main Building, which is a four story building, two stores Chemistry laboratory building, Automotive and Industrial Electrician building, Hotel and Restaurant Management, and a Gymnasium.

        In pursuit academic excellence, Christian development and formation, leadership, and serve to humanity, Eastern Luzon Colleges, Inc. continued to offer a well rounded education that provides an opportunity of self realization and actualization of God fearing individuals.

        On October 4, 2013, during the 10th Founding Anniversary of the School, Eastern Luzon Colleges, Inc. was named KING"S COLLEGE OF THE PHILIPPINES -BAMBANG, Inc. in synchronization of its' sister school in the Province of Benguet. The changing of the School name became the highlight of the Founding Anniversary Celebration with the theme " One Institution, One Mind, One Heart" with the approval of the new president, Rev.
